After doing landscapes, city and travel photography for years, I'm currently exploring different aspects of staged photography. So far, I have identified two themes I'd like to do more of:
(a) Pictures with contradictions, e.g. outfits that don't match the location or expressions that do contradict the situation. I have a bunch of ideas along this line of thought and have already done a few of these shots. Eventually, I want to create images that people love to hate to look at. Or hate to love to look at. Either one would be great ;-)
(b) Artistic nude. While I initially wasn't that much interested in nude photography, I since discovered that it is a fascinating field to explore shape, light, shadow and emotion.
This list isn't exhausting (yet) and I plan to try many more genres along the way.
What to expect when working with me:
I happen to enjoy working with people, as opposed to posing a puppet. This, on one side, means that I treat the people I work with with respect and dignity, without invading their privacy or private space.
On the other side, this also means that I expect to discuss ideas before and during the shooting. So if you want to run through a bunch of standard poses to make a bunch of green, I'm probably not your best bet. But if you have ideas for shootings that you always wanted to do: Bring them on, I will do my best to make them happen if they spark my interest.
