Welcome to Christopher Hartman's pretentious 3rd person profile. While he does not find others that do this pretentious, his act of doing so is completely pretentious. But, he's awesome so it's completely acceptable. Christopher (or Chris) is 37 and as been actively taking photos of amateur to professional models since May 2004. He is 100% digital and for the curious, uses Nikon bodies and lenses.
Christopher Hartman is taking a new direction in 2009. While he's certainly not finished shooting lovely ladies in bikinis, he's largely finished with trading for his bikini sessions. While it's not completely out of the question, some arm twisting may be necessary.
Content for his upcoming 2010 Sunset Beauties (name pending) Calendar is complete, he is planning for a 2011. Depending on how well the 2010 sells, he'd like for these to be paid sessions. However, if you can't wait for that casting call and you think you should be in the 2011 calendar and are willing to trade for such a shoot, please feel free to ask.
If you want a trade session with me...er, him here are some ideas he's exploring.
1. A Night Out - No, this isn't a date. These are shot at night in populated areas. No additional light. All black and white. Very likely very dirty and grainy as far as image quality. No MUAs are necessary as the image quality would hardly benefit them. These images are usually processed as-is with VERY little retouching if any. For the date part...essentially you'll be on a date. But not with him(he's a cheap bastard and you wouldn't like him anyhow), instead, it's a date by yourself. These can be happy, sad, or happy and sad. Maybe you were stood up. Maybe you got a job promotion and have no one to share it with. Or maybe you want to meet cheap photographers. This session type also lends itself to those who can act and require little to no direction.
2. Fashion - He's interested in trading on these sessions because there's a chance he may suck at it. He'd rather not charge for something he's not sure he can really pull off. For him, these shots are not only about good wardrobe, but a good location. He's willing to drive if needed. MUA required.
3. Glamour - this is actually a maybe. An MUA must be part of the shoot. This is required. Exceptions will only be made if he can see your unretouched makeup work you've done yourself. So pitch your idea to me and if I like it, we'll take it from there. You have to be really good looking, have a really nice body, and good skin to be considered for this.
4. Action - He wants fun action type stuff. This would probably be best with either true athletes, gymnasts, and/or professional dancers.
5. If you're an agency girl, chances are I would love to work with you. If you're not...maybe...er, he means he'd love to work more with people who are more serious about the direction they are taking their modeling.
His rates for those that are curious start at about $150-200 for head shots and up to $500 for 2-3 hour sessions that usually involve 3 to 4 "looks" and includes an on-site professional MUA. His beach sessions are $600. Please contact him for more details.
His Top 12 contains the 12 most recent people he has worked with from Model Mayhem. Feel free to contact any of them for a reference. Infact, he encourages you to do so.

A couple magazines that feature models, I'm not listing them because I don't think they count. They are features on the model, not me so I'm not gonna list them.
Please help me out and buy my first attempt at a calendar. Only $10!!!
