Michael Barone's work has appeared in a number of juried shows and exhibits throughout the Northeast and received several awards, including best in show and purchase awards. Most recently, Barone exhibited in one-man shows on South Street and in University City, Philadelphia, he was the featured at Halcyon Gallery in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, and in the Nexus Gallery in Old City, Philadelphia. His body of work "Parental Advisory, Explicit Images" was shown in Buck's County, PA.and the DaVinci Art Alliance in Philadelphia PA. He recently won an award in a juried show in Richlandtown, PA.
Michael was also a part of two exhibitions entitled, "Naked in New Hope" Exhibition which opened September 2007 and also in 2009. Michael's images are part of the galleries collection still on display
Recent exhibitions also include: "Barone, a retrospective" 25 years of Contours and Shadows. Located in the Midlantic Gallery Arts Consortium Gallery and The "Heart of Peace" exhibition at the Greenshire Arts Consortium. And his internationally acclaimed exhibition "Censor This" which showed in August, 2009 at the ArtHouse Lounge in Harrisburg, PA., and his highly acclaimed 2010 follow up exhibition, "Censor This II, fetish and fantasy"

Barone has earned PPA Certified Designation from the Professional Photographers of America. This designation was earned after meeting rigorous requirements measuring his artistic, technical, ethical and business competence. The PPA Certified designation is held by fewer than 2,500 photographers worldwide.
