About Me

If you are looking for creative body painting and make up, you have come to the right place.

"Ilea and Aryn of Looking Glass Painting are two professional body painting artists who work together on nearly every project they do. Ilea has been painting on peoples skin professionally for over a decade, starting out with her own childrens face painting business. But don't let that fool you, this isn't your ordinary run of the mill face painting. Ilea as also indoctrinated her boyfriend Aryn into the world of body art, and as a life time artist himself, he has had no trouble picking up the trade." - Quote from website

Most of the time we paint as a team, which makes the process go a lot faster. The best part about body painting is that doesn't have to be nude, or even the full body. Partial body paintings are very common, and look fantastic. The painting can also be done over pasties, small bras, underwear, or to incorporate any wardrobe the model is wearing.

The paints we use are professional theatre grade paints which are water based and hypoallergenic. These are NOT acrylic paints, our paints are designed for skin with NO metal additives. They are not flaky, greasy or sticky like dollar store paints, nor are they chalky like other cheep paints. In fact they sort of smell like vanilla and coconut, soft to the touch, comes of clean by adding soap and water, but yet they are still smudge and perspiration resistant.

We are interested in hearing from photographers, models and pretty much any one else who is interested in body painting.

If you have a cool idea for a design, or would like to hear one of our idea's send us a message!

We are willing to do TFP projects however due to the nature of our work and the amount of product and work being done; we will require a kit fee which varies based on the project. This can range from $10 to $50 depending on how much product we use and this can be split between the photographer and the model, or whoever else is involved. Think of it this way; a painting is like a pizza, the more toppings you add the higher the price.

If we need a model for a school project, no kit fee is necessary, and it's a freebee! Check our casting calls for updates on models needed for school projects.

We are not charging full prices yet for our work; however for more complex design requests, we do require compensation for the sheer amount of work required.

Thanks for reading and we look forward to hearing from you!
