Golly! I forgot how completely necessary
it is to put this information front and center:
No nudes, no fetish, no... how do I put this
lightly? Basically, if someone can get... er...
aroused by the final photos, I don't do it!
=========================
You really want me to talk about myself? Because I will go forever! Half JK. Here's the scoop on me:
I began my industry endeavors in 2002 as an actress. Oh yes, I envisioned it: agents begging to take me on, fans galore with admiration of my incredible talent, and awards left and right. Piece of cake!
Well, after numerous rejection letters, I began to realize that this might require a little work. So, when I received offers to try modeling, I said, "Yeah, why not?" And so began a new venture into the still-frame world.
Not bad. Prettay... prettay ... prettay fun! I spent the next 2 years networking, shooting, and taking advantage of any opportunity that I could. While on this journey, I still pursued my acting goals, but I learned a very valuable lesson: I couldn't act! I was awful! Really. Like, cringe-bad. But hey: I have no problem laughing at the fact.
BUT, when I read about an audition for a local fashion tv show in late 2004, I was intrigued. This wouldn't be "acting." I mean, there would be a script, but it would be ME, not a character.
I nailed the auditioned. About the same time, I began to work for a fashion publication as an events writer and assistant to the publisher. In both media platforms, I was conducting interviews, securing press passes, and informing the public. I FELL IN LOVE. I never thought I would have such a strong passion for something. I WANT TO BE IN MEDIA!
I continued to model, but after finding my true calling within broadcasting and media, the photoshoots lost their appeal. It just wasn't as fun! I needed the "moving" camera, the topic, the full involvement.
I eventually overworked myself (hey, it's how I roll) and became so fed up with the industry, that I took a leave in 2007. It was a personal test: I told myself that if I was fine after a full year of industry absence, that I would not go back.
After 6 months, I was ITCHING to be in front of the camera again. I worked a little here and there, but didn't get involved with consistent work until July 2008. I continued to build my reel and hosting experience, but I really didn't start to work my ass off again until August 2009.
And here we are! Um, are you still here? Hope I didn't bore you. I swear it's all relevant to the final motivation for this profile:
You see, although my overall goal is to be a television host, I still take advantage of modeling opportunities here and there. AND, sometimes a "host" casting will call for a "model." Hosting can be both a model and voice. And this chick's got it.
===========================================
Since I am not looking to actually build my modeling portfolio and further my modeling experience, I'm not seeking TFP shoots. However, I am also not interested to receive payment from a basic, photographer-portfolio-building shoot. I hope that makes sense? Overall, I am looking for any modeling work that will go towards an advertisement, campaign, tearsheet, etc. I am flexible in my compensation for this type of work, and am willing to do TF-Tearsheet, "depending on the assignment." I hope I don't come across as snobby in this specific description. I am just trying to be clear on my goals. Message me if there is a better way to word this paragraph.
===========================================
I don't consider myself to be good at a lot of things. But broadcasting and I go together like peas and carrots (in Forrest Gump voice). I can write, I have a personality, my chromosomes have lined to create a satisfactory Chicago commercial face, and my business correspondences reflect a functioning IQ level. Even through my Forrest impressions.

Dude, I'm suppose to go through +10 years of work and list everyone and everything that I have collaborated with in the industry? THEN, list their MM#? Just to prove I know what the hell I'm doing?
NO.
Ain't nobody got time for that.
