About Me

The sky is the limit with me.

My portfolio is not the best because I hadn't started taking pictures for a print and online portfolio until recently. I have done hundreds faces, so I know what I'm doing, and I know it very well. :)

I am going to take a little time now to tell you how we can come out with an amazing product because after months of doing trades here and there I have had some good experiences, but mostly horror stories. This is what i need from you if you are considering a project with me:

1. Please have a style in mind and be ok about showing me a sample of that style. If I ask you what you want to look like if you tell me honestly and I will let you know if I can achieve it - but you need to be honest with yourself and have realistic expectations. If you look like Rosie O'Donnell and you expect me to make you look like Beyonce, find another artist.

2. Please don't play with my time. If you say I need to be there at 2 on wednesday, I don't want a call at 1 that day saying you're cancelling or you'll be there in 2 hours, or asking me can we reschedule for tomorrow. Bottom line, don't play with my time, since I will not play with yours. I WILL leave or not show up and not ever schedule with you again.

3. If you tell me 4 models, I expect to make up 4 models. I am flexible depending on the circumstances but I will not do 10 people if I was told there are 4 to be done without extra payment and that is only if my time permits. I've been nice about it before and it always turns out to be a hassle so NO MORE.

4. MM does mostly TF/TFP/TFCD, SO you KNOW I expect usable prints or a cd within a reasonable amount of time which to me is maybe a week or so, two at the most. If you know the turn around on the print or CD will be a month+ please be honest with me and yourself and find another artist.

5. Please confirm your team. Finding no models are there or having you ask me if I can do hair because you didn't confirm with your hair person is annoying and a huge waste of time and I do not wait for more than 15 minutes for people to show up. My feeling is if they cared, they'd be there just like I am. I WILL leave. So please confirm your people.

6. If you are shooting at a park or other large area where there could be confusion about the location, please come up with a meeting spot so I'm not walking 2 hours through the park or some building because you didn't know or didn't specify what area or suite you would be in. I always ask but so many times the model or photographer "will tell me tomorrow". Guess what? Find another artist. Showing up with a heavy kit and not finding the location is beyond aggravating and I have had to turn right around and go home because of this too many times. So NOW, if you can't tell me at least 48 hours before the project is scheduled EXACTLY what the address or where the team meeting spot is, I'm not coming.

7. I do not apply makeup in storage spaces, private apartments, or other potentially dangerous settings I don't care what the trade off is. If you know you are shooting indoors please make sure it is in a studio or other professional place of business. I understand some people have GREAT home studios and that's great but I will not accept jobs like this. If I show up and I feel that it's a shady place, I will immediately turn around and leave no matter how safe you say it is.

8. I understand that your best friend/little sister/cousin/mom/neighbor/son or daughter wants to experience your world and how glamorous it may seem but it makes my job harder when non-professionals are around hanging out at a project. Whether it be from the models shyness with them around, the annoying questions they tend to ask, the awkward conversation I end up in the middle of, them making my model talk - screwing up the makeup, them touching my products, the unwanted advice and critiques, or from them asking to have their makeup done and the list goes on and on. Please leave them at home so I don't have to ask them to disappear. If you're a younger model I understand a parent/big sister or brother being there, but any others will be asked to go until I'm done.

There you have it. My rules. I am honestly a nice enough person with a great attitude however you do get tired of the unprofessional scenes and games some people play when dealing with trades. Some things are just annoying, while others are straight up dangerous. Please understand that my rules have been written with care and experience and a little bit of humor. Now that we've taken care of all that, from one PROFESSIONAL to all of you, if you'd like to book me, let me know :)
