March 2013 - Time to Refresh This Section.....
I'm primarily a studio based photographer (though I've been known to venture outside the confines of my studio on occasion). I pride myself on producing good quality product, and, also on the ability to tackle fairly diverse subjects and looks. I'm often drawn by the offbeat, the obscure and the less-than-conventional things and people. I take a lot of joy in working with a diverse range of people with a diverse range of experience levels.
l do some TF (provided an idea or person inspires me).
I prefer models willing to participate in the development of an idea or concept that works for both of us, I want to give you the best possible images, and, I think that comes from you having bought into a concept (this means I want you to have ideas, opinions and be willing to use them to help us build an idea). For those that struggle with this, I keep an assortment of lists and inspirations on here that might serve as fodder for concept development.
you want to know what motivates me and inspires me as of late, it is, as always, a bit of an ecclectic list including....
Bodyscapes/figure based stuff - the right model and the right pose can really sell an emotion. This isn't about nudity per se, it's about the ability of the body to create stunning images.
Wax - still on my list, I love shots that mix elements and wax seems to be the latest element I am drawn to. If you feel like pouring wax on yourself in the name of art, we should chat!
Fairy tale inspirations - think dark and grittier than you might expect, but, I love the genre. For me, this genre will likely morph into darker, distrurbing images. I love the idea of something offbeat in this genre, flawed looks, elements of kink, etc.
Fabric based shots - I love the drape, movement and stylings of shots that feature fabrics in some way and I have an assortment of wonderful fabrics at the studio available for use (as a dear friend formerly owned a clothing store and keeps bringing by wonderful items).
Editorial/stylizes shots with a darker fashion feel - want to mix high waisted pants, a sheer bra, a fur shawl and a leather vest, or, some other less than conventional combinations? If so, I might be your guy?
Kink/Fetish stuff - this won't be everyone's cup of tea, but, if you like the mix of edgy, editorial, fetish we should talk.
My normal approach is, we'll usually email for a bit, then likely meet face to face to iron out final details and if we are in agreement, look to set up a date and time to make some art....as I llike to keep things simple
The list is long and goofy, I think the count was that I'd worked with more than 100 models, makeup artists, hairstylists, designers and stylists from this site. If you want specific references, please just drop me a note.
