The Art of Merrill - Merrill is a fine-artist, a portrait-painter, photographer, art publisher, an illustrator and art business and technique educator. His art is spirit and emotion embodied. For this Chicago grown artist, sensuality, as well as spirituality (not religion), is part of the total human condition that is underrepresented in art by people of color. At the age of 6, Merrill started to realize his God-giving gift, and has been developing it ever since. The artist continued to sharpen his skills during his years at Morehouse College (1990-1994), and his years at The American Academy of Art (1994-1996), in Chicago. Now residing between Atlanta and Chicago, Merrill is gifted with the ability to arouse one's mind, body, and soul (spirit). With all mediums, he covers the full spectrum of the human condition - from sensuality to spirituality. To see Merrill's work is to see him. His images, photos, paintings, portraits, etc, are professional, and visual manifestations of the many dimensions, and variations of Spirit expressed through him. Merrill puts his heart and soul into each line, curve, and detail of his artwork. Most importantly, Merrill always attributes the source of his ability, ideas and prosperity to his Source, The ALL, GOD.
