About me

Hello my beautiful and creative model mayhem community. My name is Kumia and I am a island baby yes born and raised in the tropics. I used to be a hair and runway model but I have put that coat up and found a new love MAKEUP.

I am a graduate of the Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles. I have been doing makeup since 2005 and I am in love with the art.

A little more personally, I am a single mom to a handsome 14 year old son I LOVE color(which is not a surprise considering my cultural background hey our biggest festival is CARNIVAL). I appreciate models who know how to model & photographers who have lighting skills! I've been a freelance makeup artist for the past 8 years and I still consider every job to be a fun learning adventure! There's always something to work on, something to try, something to recreate, it is AWESOME!

Other than that I'm just a regular little, island girl who was blessed with both worlds as i like to say (white mom black dad) who loves doing what I do best MAKEUP!!!

With that being said if you would like to work with me please send me a message dont be shy I am not going to BITE chances are I will say yes if your work is outstanding then again even if it is not. If you need help building your port guess what so do I so lets see if we can make some magic.

I have a few requests please do not contact me about a shoot if you are not serious. I never commit to a shoot if i do not intend to keep my commitment. We are all humans and things do happen however just communicate. The only time I will cancel is if i get another job that is paying so rest assured I will NEVER cancel without good reason.
