Steven Mitchell Perry

Hello, my name is Steven Perry and I am a photographer in Northern California. I am interested in shooting models of all styles and walks of life. I am particularly interested in working with models with a darker side - alternative, goth, punk, etc. I am not the type of photographer that likes to emulate current fashion magazine styles. It just isn’t my thing. If you are looking for such work there are far more qualified photographers than I. I do love to shoot fashion or glamour with a darker spin, however. Models that can bring their own artistic style and creative energy to the shoot are a big plus. I am first and foremost an artist and love collaborating with other artists to create.

Emotional work is my primary area of interest. Bringing your style and creativity to our shoot can produce some wonderful images that say something. 

My shoots are very casual and that is the way I like to do it. As an extremely easy going person I typically sit around with the model and talk for awhile trying to understand the type of person they are before even setting up lights and picking up a camera.

I am currently looking for all types of models for various projects. I will shoot TF work with those that can add depth to my portfolio. I do not generally shoot TF for standard portrait work that is outside of my area of interest. My rates are reasonable for such work, however.

Chaperones are welcome provided they do not interfere with the creative process. My manager or assistant are usually present for all shoots.
