New York is New York. To me I am in the best possible market for what it is I wish to do. I've been blessed to work with photogs like Tarrice Love and Sean Kilkenny. All the major agencies are here as well as innovative photogs, magazines and marketing agencies. I am blessed to have a father who's owns a piece of a Baltimore marketing and events company, so he offers incredible advice. Like you, I have an eye to a future in film or broadcasting. Its funny that I never saw all of the opportunities here in NY until my dad took me around the city to meet and greet people in the industry. There is certainly enough work for us all to be successful as the days of "we already have an ethnic guy" are long gone. Guys like us who are multiracial are in demand, especially with the rise of hispanic markets in the US.
What I think is we should stay n touch and possibly share a few contacts and ideas and photog info. What I've learned about this ndustry is networking will help in oh so many ways both with models and photogs and bookers. I've come across your pics on a few photog sites. My greater advice is be patient with the photogs. I've shot with ones who return pics within 24 hours ad others withing 24 months LOL. just keep shooting. As you look on MM for photogs, notice their style of shooting. Ignore if they've only shot women, they are always looking to add to their work.
So I take it you're still in the dirty dirty and not Cali. Stay on that grind man.
