My name is Nathan Quinton Sebakijje and I am a Los Angeles based photographer & graphic designer. I am very passionate about photography and currently transitioning from serious enthusiast to professional. I specifically enjoy shooting environmental portraits with no clear narrative. I prefer to pose questions, not answers. It is my belief that an audience is more engaged when they are tasked with clue-finding, when picture-viewing. I supply the pieces, they solve the puzzle.
I really enjoy the collaborative nature of photography. I have always surrounded myself with creative people who are equally passionate about their work. I jump at any and every chance to work with talented stylists, make-up artists, hairstylists, models, location scouts, set designers, etc… The sum is always more than its parts.
Lastly, while I could geek out over the technical aspect of photography, I prefer to focus on the story/idea/concept. Some of the best work ever created relied more on “vision” than technology. I know when to light, and not to light, when to direct, and when to be quiet. Photography is a people sport, and I’m a people person.
Let’s come up with a story, then seduce eyeballs with our imagery.
