Mayhem # 1711266
About MeI'm a graphic designer, new to photography. Because I'm new, and heavily influenced by design, I strive to bring something less conventional to the table. The photos in my Model Mayhem portfolio are older photos shot while doing promotional work. The photos here DO NOT represent my reason for being here, or what I'm capable of creatively. I'm here to explore a new frontier in self expression. The photos on this profile were shot for ads, not for creative exploration.
Although I'm new to photography, I've been running my independent promotional firm, Death-Ray Design for about ten years. (to understand my style, you need to look at my website - the link is above.) I don't want to classify Death-Ray work because I'm striving to create something new by joining Model Mayhem.
I've got some strong concepts in my mind, but I'm able to improvise and make changes to maximize the potential of the individual models I work with.
I'm frequently hired to do promos, cd packaging, posters and publications for retro and rockabilly themed events. I have worked with some really cool events like Drive-Invasion, Heavy Rebel Weekender, and the Coney Island Rockabilly Festival. I frequently do advertising work for the Graveyard Tavern in Atlanta.
Although I'm constantly looking for models to feature in my promotional work, my primary interest in having this profile is to create striking photos that allow me to express myself. I'd like to find models with striking facial features and interesting eyes. If your look is right for Death-Ray commercial work, it's a huge plus!
Unlike many photographers on this site, I'm not trying to use photography to hook up with girls. My lovely and amazing fiancee helps me with my shoots.
At this point in time I am primarily interested in models that are based in the central North Carolina area, for travel and accessibility reasons... but always remain open to a bigger future!
