In 2010 I was introduced to the world of modeling and photography. I became absorbed and fascinated with working on both sides of the camera. Though I was young timid and even naive I couldn't help but find myself drawn to modeling. To me it is an experience of self discovery, creative expression, communication, and even exploration. My initial enthusiasm faded during a rocky point in my personal life. This led my passion to be replaced with self doubt, regret, and occasional shame. Looking back those were challenges I needed to face in order to really grow as an individual. For the most part I have overcome those feelings and instead have decided to take a leap of faith. Faith that I have the confidence to be myself and that I have the security to put myself out there for other peoples criticisms. I do not want to hid in the shadows fearful of the what if. Instead I yearn for the unknown possibilities. It invigorates me to collaborate with others to help produce their and my own ideas. I am forever thankful for the struggles and opportunities that modeling has introduced me to. It has helped me progress my own photography (KWC Photography https://www.facebook.com/KwCPhotography) as well as learn new skills such as hair and makeup. Yet most importantly I feel that it has allowed me to open my mind, heart, and imagination. I will forever be learning, but I feel that modeling is my cocoon helping to create the person I hope to become.
Currently I am a full time college student who also works. While I am studying International Business and Japanese, I also have a passion for the arts especially that involve film and photography. I hope to be able to someday travel the world and take pictures along the way, from both sides of the lens. I love artistic collaboration, and new ideas. I love to learn more and appreciate any constructive criticism and feedback. I take this all rather seriously. Either paid or trade shoots, if I make a commitment I will follow through unless there are extenuating circumstances (very rare). I also expect professional behavior from those I am working with. I love being on both sides of the camera! I even have some small experience working as a film extra. In my eyes time is one of the most valuable resources available, therefore, I like to avoid wasting it, both mine and yours!
