Todays Image

I am a professional photographer and photography teacher who specializes in studio work. I photograph men and specialize in finding "new" male talent for the fashion industry and help them get the experience necessary to work professionally in front of a camera. I have been in this business for several years and have a very high success rate. My greatest thrill is seeing YOUR image in a magazine, on TV, or 15 stories tall in Times Square!
You do NOT have to pose nude to work with me.

I have also been in the "Fine Art for Galleries" business for many years and have learned that women appreciate a beautifully photographed image of a nude male as much as men appreciate one of a woman.

I recently read on someone's page here on MM that if a photographer doesn't have a web page, and isn't listed as a friend of this certain photographer, that you should beware of, and not work with photographers fitting this description.
I certainly hope that as an aspiring model you have more brains and common sense than to follow this type of self serving advice.
Look at a photographer's work,(that's why this site is here) communicate via MMmail and then talk to them on the phone. If you still aren't comfortable, a face to face meeting should be arranged before any photo shoot is agreed to. Don't work with someone you don't trust, and don't work with someone who tries to get ahead by bashing and belitteling others. Life is too short for this type of behavior, it is not well tollerated in the professional modeling community, and any rewards will be brief and detrimental in the long run. Trust your own instincts!

                    PLEASE READ THIS PART

My images are appreciated and purchased by women. They are created with the goal that the viewer will be seeing a work of art. I believe that a much more accurate term for the artistic nude male form should be Hetero-Artistic! The term homo-erotic, when slapped onto every image of a nude male is nothing short of the worst type of sexism. It is designed to marginalize women and their capacity to enjoy and appreciate a beautiful male image.

I do take offense when people use the term, but I'm certainly used to it and you who use the term are certainly not to be blamed for something that has been ingrained in you since birth. My feeling is that the person designating an image as homo-erotic better stand up and admit he is homosexual and qualified to recognize an image as such, sit down and shut up, or be female!

So gentlemen, if you agree with this way of thinking, and you have put in those hundreds of hours in the gym and would like to see your image captured in an artistic way and perhaps exhibited and sold in a real photography gallery or photo art book, just send me an email at jwb1@frontiernet.net and let's talk!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE TO DEMAND A TAG OR COMMENT BEFORE ACCEPTING A FRIEND DESIGNATION-----maybe some of us use the "friend" designation as a way of keeping track of the GREAT sites on MM because the friend section is sortable in several different ways which makes locating people much easier than looking through 300,000 members to locate someone who does GREAT work (this isn't
facebook or myspace) or------maybe if you posted better images you would get tags and comments without having to ask for them.
Think about it, please.
