***I recently took out 1st & 3rd places in the Emerging Stylist Awards in Brisbane in the Ladies Photographic category :) ***

I have a regular 'gig' with the Courier Mail Fashion Editor, which involves creating amazing styles for her fashion pages once a fortnight...check out Fashion with Laura Stead on Fridays :)

I love nothing more than being given a head, and an idea & turning it into something amazing!!
I work full-time, so my availability is kind of limited, but if the right 'job' comes along, I will do what I can to make it happen!
My style isn't limited. I love to experiment & push boundaries. Most people can do average curls & braids...ask me to do something bizarre & you'll find it hard to wipe the smile off my face :-D

***unfortunately I have been done over a few too many times with TFP shoots. I understand that there are many photographers out there that can't afford to pay a hairstylist for their time in cash, but by the same token, I cannot afford to give my time to people who have no intention of providing what they offer. So, I am now only accepting offers of paid work. It's a shame it has come to this, but my time & expertise is very valuable to me, and I expect those that use my services view it as just as valuable***
