About me
I am quite a self-taught photographer when it comes to photography and I've invested to learn and hone my techniques as well. I view the world around me differently because of photography. It seems like every time I see something, may it be location, an interesting subject, a person and whatnot, I always think of how it will look like once I click my shutter. How would the lights affect a person or an object and on what angle would it look best? In as much as I wanted to take a picture perfect image, I am always drawn to one of my idol's quote. Mr. Joe Buissink says "There is no such thing as a perfect picture... it does not exist! However, there's always a perfect moment." Well, maybe i did paraphrase that a bit but I hope you get what he's trying to convey.
I would like to improve my craft in both photo-journalistic and traditional style. I've been going through a lot of reading materials and video tutorials, forums and articles. It's such a blessing to learn from unselfish photographers but of course, experience is always the best teacher.
I look forward to collaborating and being creative with anyone here in MM. I know how to have fun but still have a great sense of professionalism. I don't want to make photography just a hobby. If I could make it as a profession, why not... Right?!? That's where professionalism comes in. I've had opportunities of getting paid gigs here and there. There are some gigs that I just had to say "NO" and there are shoots that I find challenging that I just had to say "YES" regardless whether it's paid or not. Most of the time, you have to pay in order to learn. So never pass an opportunity where learning something new is free... You just have to step out of your comfort zone and take the plunge...
