I have been involved in amateur photography for a very long time, over half of a century. Retired from the graphic arts supply industry a few years ago, I am now free to pursue different and more interestingly challenging aspects of photography. I have no desire to become a professional photographer since, to me, photography has always been a means of self expression. Besides I have had sufficient experience at competition not to mention financial record keeping to last another lifetime. Right at the present, my style of photography is possibly not as fresh or avant garde as the younger photographers but I want the work which ever direction it takes to be consistently marked by quality. That is something I wish to work on, not losing the quality, but gaining some of the freshness.

Working with models is a new experience so my first goal is to establish a portfolio of strong images; eventually working toward photography as a means of artistic expression. I am always open to the input from the models because I believe that the best work comes from collaboration between photographer and subject. I have many ideas and themes that I wish to work on over time and look forward to working with the models from this site to achieve those goals.
