                                                                                              Young Haitian born on July 2nd, 1978 along with twin sister GEANNE BAZILE migrated to the United States in 1989 with mother Jacqueline DUROSEAu Bazile.  She's the inspiration and the name behind the line.   As a designer who taught himself how to sew nearly since 2005 ago, Gerald is influence by designers greats  like Yves Saint LAURENT,VALENTINO, CRISTOBAL BALENCIAGA,Emmanuel UNGARO and BALMAIN.
       Fashion isn't just about cuts and colors, its all about elegance and glamour.Duroseau consist of polka dot prints, bold colors and high end delicate fabrics, a style reminiscent of classic red carpet fashion.
               Opulence of style and infusion of colors and textures are the two metaphors that describe both the line and the impact of style left by Gerald mother. His twin sister Geanne  influence is equally important since, literally one week before her passing in 2003, her last words to him were to debut a collection before the age of thirty. This has been the power, creativity, and drive behind everything he does.  Beauty is no mystery to the designer, since fashion has been a part of his life as long as he can remember. Coming from a culture where beauty was created by transforming everything around you into something stylish, Gerald was no stranger to the Scarlet OHara alterations of a window curtain, cutting his mother's sheets and curtains to make gowns for his sister's dolls. Sometimes dressing up for Sunday photos and ice cream became the event of the week. As the women in his life brought out the striking prints and gorgeous colors, behold they were defining beauty for Gerald BAZILE. This also created the love affair for polka dot prints, which have become a signature for the designer. The heavenly sound of success sounds so much sweeter when the ones you love share it with you. To often time takes us on an unforgettable journey that leads us down the evolutionary road to success. A show sponsored by Japanese brand SHISHEDO where top model KHEENYA and Ms Puerto Rico served the runway.   The Apprentice Amarosa on the his first cover for Mahogany magazine. Working on projects with the American HEART ASS., with  Ms Massachusetts 06 Michaela Gagne the host wore DUROSEAu.  Received a half page layout in CARIBnews April07 for  his collection tittle DUROSEAu couture hot for spring by Walter Greene.  After being sick with seizures for almost half of the year in 2007, DUROSEAu was asked and participated in a show held by the Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, representing one of brooklyn best in fashion on June 2nd.   A second cover with Mahogany magazine dressing rising super star HBO life support Actress RACHEL Nicks. Now he has fully recovered, the hole that was in his brain is gone and is God willing seizures free. In a couple years time the young designer have established a name for himself and is still on the rise. DUROSEAu 2008 collection show at Touch ny with super model Stacey MCKENZIE and Americas next top model JENAH.   Brooklyn fashion weekend Sunday March 23, 2008.
