Hi and welcome to my profile page. My artistic name is Juan Lopez, a.k.a. EL ARTISTA and it would be my pleasure to take your images to the next dimension. I’m originally from the Dominican Republic and have been a professional retoucher since 2009. I am fluent in French, Dutch, Spanish, and English should you want to speak with me. My artistic career got a boost while I was living in New York (better known as the Big Apple). I would go to 26th Street and 10th Avenue area in downtown Manhattan and study art, artwork, and art exhibitions. This helped me get a better understanding and formed my impressions of what and how “art” truly is made. Now I am in Europe, very well trained, and I’m ready to take your photos to the next dimension.
I discovered the Model Mayhem site while looking for images to retouch in 2010 and have enjoyed it ever since. While I am willing to assist clients with 18+ images, it is not my first choice of retouching work. I am running a business and since TF (Time for print/cd) doesn’t pay the bills, I am looking for paid retouching. I love this site and being a member has helped me with my workflow, introduced me, and allowed me to network with other professional retouchers, photographers, and models worldwide. While being a member here, I have further refined how I approach an image to take it to the next level. Part of this is the result of retouching training every day. I am impressed by the respect and professionalism between models, photographers, and professional retouchers. I live in Belgium and my rates are very reasonable for the quality of work that I provide. Please let me know what you want and I will make sure you get the results that you expect. I love to work with photographers and models that are looking for a retoucher who has the skills necessary and is ready to work with them. My ultimate goal is to be considered as one of the best retouchers on Model Mayhem.
