The sensualist style seeks to project onto a two-dimensional plane that which exists in an entirely different reality.  Rather than let specific film types and processes dictate the ‘pathway’ to the finished picture, the sensualist  selects the media and the process that will be the best vessel in which to manifest the image.The sensualist seeks connection with all that exists and all that is but a dream...  to see that which we can only taste, or smell, touch, or hear, requires a leap of faith; that, if we give ourselves the permission, can be facilitated through the creation of art.  It is our desire to help reacquaint us all with our sensual selves and reconnect us to the World our physical bodies move through in the process.

Like all sentient things that exist as but a shadow in this reality, the words that I might offer don't really convey what it is the soul wishes to convey ... so I offer you this poem ... written for my Candace, but appropriate to all creatures and entities, to all beings whom we might meet on the film plane.

art is about perception.  Altered and incomplete as it may be. The camera records a unique field of view. Is it truth?  What is truth? I understand fully why some cultures believe the camera 'steals' one's soul.  It is for this reason that Candace and I do not desire to simply photograph you; no, we want to meet you.  On the film plane.

You’re eyes memerize.  Your eyes Haunt.  Your I's are mirrors unto my perception, my
oh my how

twitching like  dragonflies darting
and zipping
to here and to there

is you
I thought I knew love,

[1]  sometimes, a few prints just don't capture the essence of a shoot.  On those occasions we use blurberatti to make hardcover books of the encounter.  And of course every one gets usable images for electronic distribution.  In these instances, you will get a book.
