Hello!
Just added new Facebook Site... please LIKE!
I’m John – professional published photographer, looking to expand my artistic vision and hopefully in the process get some memorable shots, and make lasting professional relationships. I love conceptual work, as well as documentary style pj influenced photography. Please feel free to drop me a line - PM is usually good.
I work with models of all experience levels, and a variety of concepts. My fees are based on assignments, and what it'll take to get your vision to fruition on the other side of the lens. I'm also willing to TFx depending on venue and subject matter - I'm very flexible, so please feel free to drop me a line to open the dialog!
**** casting for workshops - drop me a line
**** also working with agencies - so if you're looking for feedback on what they're looking for, let me know!
*Please take a moment to show the models/mua/wardrobe designers some love as well - its always a team effort
Models:
When booking any time with me, please be sure you read, re-read and understand these points.
1.
Be on time, punctual, and ready to shoot.
2.
Understand the concepts and subject we’re shooting. If you have any doubts, this should be discussed prior to being in the Make-Up chair.
3.
Know your poses! If you are a new model, please put some effort in knowing what angles and expressions work for you. Don’t give me the same stare in all shots. There will be communication, but just like a musician must know his scales in order to compose, a model must have this in his/her tool bag as well.
4.
Be professional – in all that this entails. If we’re shooting at 9am, please don’t come in after partying all night or hung-over. Also, if we’re on set and shooting, and you’re paying more attention to your cell phone than the shoot, you will be asked to leave. I don’t believe in doing anything half-assed – and don’t expect that from you either.
5.
Do not show up inebriated. This should go without saying…. BUT oh the stories.
6.
DO NOT FLAKE. I understand extreme situations can come up. But if you flake, please rest assured I will not book any time for you again - let alone any workshops.
Escort Policy:
YES!
Caveat. Cannot be your SO. So no boyfriends, husbands, fiancées. And PLEASE no entourage (ok, maybe if you're Miranda Kerr;)
Please keep this in mind. Most of my shoots are in a large professional studio, and with a production team which includes, lighting assistants, MUA, Hair Stylist, Wardrobe Designer/Stylist, etc. You’re not dealing with a GWC hanging sheets in the basement of his house. The reason we publish and credit the teams we work with on here is to convey the very professional standard we expect from everyone on here. You wouldn’t expect for the MUA to bring her B/F to see if its safe would you? References… absolutely – take your pick from anyone in my port. That’s why they’re listed.
Artistic Process:
I’ve always perceived this as a dance between like minded individuals with melding visions. We’re all part of that process. I will give you 100% of my effort, as will my team. If you do bring your girlfriend, another model, etc… please ensure they comport themselves professionally as well so that this process continues undisturbed.
Thanks for those that have read this far down. I’m always excited to meet and work with creative individuals. I hope I can be a part of your creative path and experience.
Now, let’s talk, plan, and capture some art!
John
