About me
I am looking to expand my portfolio and vision. I enjoy creating great photo ideas with models and other photographers. If you'd like references, my "Top 12" are the MM models I've worked with most recently and/or frequently, or who know me best personally.
I like shoots to be collaborative between myself and the model(s). I usually approach shoots without a fully developed concept. Usually I just start with a location, the start of an idea, and let the shoot unfold organically. I don't usually go into much detail about a shoot beforehand for this reason.
Me and how I work.
I am 42 and have been shooting for the last five years on a regular basis. My love for portrait and model photography started a couple of years agos and has been very rewarding. My studio is located in Portland OR and I live across the river in Vancouver WA. I am not limited to studio work as there are amazing locations in the Pacific North West.
When we shoot I will show you the photos we are taking. I feel this helps both of us with ideas for poses and I can get feedback. I believe that a photographer must never touch his model/client as it is unprofessional. I know some photographers take issue with escorts but I do not. In a case like this I recommend posting where and who you are shooting with on Facebook or letting a friend or two know. Please message me any questions about me or my work.
If I contact you, then you can safely assume I've not only seen your portfolio, but I've also read your profile. If it says that you "don't shoot nudes, so don't even ask", then I already assume it will be a clothed shoot and I won't try to turn it into something else. None of the models I've worked with have ever been pressured by me to take their clothes off. I am respectful of boundaries, and I want anyone I work with to be safe, comfortable, and happy before, during, and after a shoot. I won't pressure a model to do anything they're not fully comfortable with, and as a general rule, I will not ask a model to do anything I wouldn't do myself.
I'm always seeking opportunities to experiment and grow. I understand the need to build a quality portfolio, so I am open to mutually beneficial TF*, but paid work is given top priority. If there is anything you would like to try, a new dimension you would like to add to your portfolio, I am very open to hearing and implementing your ideas. I am an available light photographer, meaning I use whatever light is available to me. Sun, flash, moon, car headlights you name it I have used it. I enjoy collaborating with models and prefer to not limit the ideas they bring to the shoot, as some of my best images have come that way.
When doing TFP or TFCD I supply you with all edited images from our session. Typically this is 20+. Any shot that is published I always notify the model, MUA, and anyone involved with the shoot. Any money made with a TF shoot is also shared with all involved. I do work full time but I take special care in providing you quality images. You will have access to your images in an online gallery or CD mailed to you usually within four weeks of the shoot. I do not give out RAW or un-edited photos, or the entire sequence of shots.
