About me

I'm a full-time explosives engineer and a part-time photographer. Part-time doesn't mean GWC though.... Unlike all the clowns here who bought a Rebel Camera at Wal-Mart last year and now call themselves "very experienced photographers", I shoot with top of the line DSLR's, $2500 lenses, Profoto lighting, ring flashes, beauty dishes, etc, etc, etc... I'm a "part-timer" because my engineering work pays way too much for me to go full-time "pro" in St. Louis, aka "The Fashion Capital of the Western Hemisphere" and I've just no interest in shooting Craigslist weddings and old ladies' poodles to keep the lights on. Despite my lowly semi-pro status, my images have found their way into magazines and other various media, and my character references include people like Niki Taylor, the guys of Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Buzz Aldrin, and Mike Matheny.
Shoots:
1- There's a fine line between art and porn and I've zero interest in crossing it, or even approaching it. If that's your thing, I'm probably not the man for the job, (lucky for you there are 100's of photographers on here who are all for it...) :)
2- I enjoy working with new models. I respect people who have the courage to go after a dream. If I can help them, there's a lot of satisfaction in that for me.
3- I've hired a lot of models over the years for various work and one thing I've learned from that is that nothing beats natural beauty. There are so many ports on MM that do a great job of showing off the retoucher's skills, the MUA's wild make-up, or some weird mask creation... YOU GET LOST behind all of that. Remember, it's YOUR port, not theirs. Let's show the world why you wanted to become a model in the first place, because you're beautiful all by yourself....
4- There's a very big difference between being a model and being a stripper. I've no interest in paying you 25 bucks to take your clothes off for me in some cheap motel room. If your port is full of that type of "modeling" please move along.
5- I do not pay models unless I'm getting compensated by a third party. I appreciate all the offers from the traveling fetish models and "workshops", but thank you NO.

I could list a bunch of names that nobody really cares about or I could just list the single most important thing that I have to my "credit"; I'm not another creep who likes to take pictures because that's his only chance to spend time with a girl that he doesn't have to inflate... Pathetic. I'm not here for "thrills"; I blow things up for a living. I already have enough thrills in my life.
Seriously though, the MM models in my port are credited. Please feel free to contact any of them as a reference.
Oh yeah... National Geographic. It wasn't pics of a model, but rather it was the lunar surface and Mars, but hey... It's National Geographic and I'm counting it. :)
