My name is Shaun William Kerr and I am a Contemporary Illustrative oil painter, born in Dundee, Scotland now settled with my wife and stepson in Texas, USA.
My paintings have an underlying narrative steeped in historical cultures, mystical beauty, mythology, suffused with sublime backgrounds and sensual themes.
As I progress and push the boundaries of my skills, I am constantly seeking to craft paintings that are emotionally thought provoking and that can be seen as "epic" in scale but allowing me to add aesthetic details within.
