Currently preparing for a straightforward apparel shoot for an out-of-state business. It's good to broaden my perspective of figure work with work like this.
Making deliberately austere, emotional, entropic, provocative compositions using the principles of design, whether or not my art education comes into play. The market and the critics require some controversy. If the artwork completely makes sense or is too satisfactory, another day will come to tip all that over. There's lots of clinical, mainstream, traditional, marketplace-oriented photographers to choose from in the area and on this site, so you'll have to ask yourself about your interests in being my photo subject. I don't presume the biggest part of my work appeals to a large audience, but I still make work with both the market preferences in mind, art history references in mind and with serious, studio art compositional practices in mind. We enjoy a lot of freedom in this country, an it's valid and respectful to honor people's choices and interests.
