Darcy Donavan was born in Miami, Florida to a young newlywed mother. Her family was, as she described it “just scraping by”, and as they lived in a small, one-bedroom apartment. Darcy’s parents divorced when she was very young and from that point on she lived with her mother. Her mother once said in an interview, she has been an actress since birth and indeed this is true, since Darcy was always imitating commercials, as well as, singing and performing for her mother and other relatives. She always wanted to lighten the mood of an overall very difficult situation and would try to cheer herself and her mother up because of the fact that at times her mother struggled to support herself and put food on the table for her young daughter. Her mother said that she had the potential to grow up to be a great comedian, because she was always telling jokes and making everyone laugh and have a good time despite what she was going through.

Darcy warmed hearts as she made her acting debut, at the age of eight, in a national commercial where she beat out over 500 other kids. From that moment on, Darcy’s future in acting was sealed.

Over the years Darcy has won over 479 talent and beauty contests winning the honor of Ms. Nashville, Tennessee. Darcy starred in hundreds of magazines,print ads, music videos and other commercials, becoming very well recognized in the entertainment business of her hometown in Nashville. During this time she began touring as a singer as well, opening up for many well-known artists as she toured the country. Her first album broke gold record status in Canada and began grabbing worldwide exposure.

Darcy then moved to Los Angeles and was quickly cast in several top name movies such as “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, “Showtime” with Robert Deniro, and Eddie Murphy and “Tomcats” with Jerry O’Connell, and Shannon Elizabeth. Darcy also landed other roles in T.V. shows such as NBC’s “My Name is Earl”, NBC’s “Las Vegas” with James Caan and ABC’s soap opera “Passions”. One of her most recognized roles was “Sherry”, in the comedic blockbuster film “Anchorman” starring Will Ferrell. This role brought Darcy attention all over the world. Even though she has worked hard to achieve her successes, you will always hear her giving thanks to God for where she is at today.

In addition to her acting career, Darcy co-owns an entertainment company in Los Angeles and freely donates her time to causes that are close to her heart such as the fight against domestic violence, drug abuse awareness programs and animal rights.

Darcy currently resides in the Los Angeles area with her four dogs and two lizards, and also has a residence in Nashville, TN. Along with pursuing her career in movies, and television, she has also just released a new pop album, which is rising on the pop charts. Darcy is currently slated to star in two more feature films which go into production later this year and has recently launched her new website and web television show “DARCY TV” with over a million viewers a month tuning in to find out what she is doing next.
