I’m an easy-going, hard working professional photographer with over fifteen years experience shooting models throughout the globe. I have a passion for photography and can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon than creating stunning images of beautiful people.

I moved from London to Brighton during summer 2010. I have recently set up Velvet Goldmine Studio in the North Laines, Brighton that is a sexy and glamourous boudoir draped with lush furnishings. I produce fantastic images that are edgy, risque, provocative and sexy that have a distinctive style and narrative. Photographs are far more appealing that depict tantalising images of the beautiful female form semi-clothed in a sensuous and seductive way, rather than shooting a naked body raw. You may be exposing breasts and booty at times, but the images are always tastefully done and tell a story. Think Agent Provocateur, rather than Ann Summers.

I take my influences from cinematography, low-lighting, film-noir, photographers such as Helmut Newton, Bob Carlos Clarke, Roy Stuart. Having spent years taking portraits of people on the streets of Asia there needs to be a narrative running through the photographs to create more interest. A photograph of a lady in lingerie wearing just a bridal veil and a smashed mobile on the ground speaks volumes. We need to think outside the box to create some original, meaningful imagery.

I do not charge for my time and experience and only work with models in exchange for TFCD. I put 110% into each photographic shoot from planning the theme, concept, narrative, lighting style, clothing etc., and after the shoot I spend 2 days photoshopping and perfecting the images. If I've requested you travel from afar for a test shoot I will consider paying travel expenses, but if you expect payment for your services, kindly choose a photographer who just reproduces the same scenario for each shoot.

I work mainly with models who are new to modelling or experienced models wanting to add some meaning to the tired shots of them lying on a chaise longue in their lingerie. You may recognise the gorgeous model/singer British socialite Anouska de Georgiou in a few of my images. She came to me for testing a couple of years back and went off to live in LA, star in reality TV show California Dreaming, get a recording contract and recently dated the Hoff. Hmmmm.

Model shoots are a joint collaboration between both the model and photographer, so I expect the model to be on time and professional. I always make sure that we're having a fun time during the shoot. If there’s a particular look, clothing, concept or angle you wanna try out, now is the time to try it, so speak up grrrrll! A fun time and fantastic images?! What more could you ask?

All models need to be 18 years of age and to deter any future misunderstandings need to sign a Model Release allowing use of images in personal websites or online (such as this one!). I don't want you coming back in 5 years time when you're semi-famous asking me to remove images that you'd previously been cool about!
