This is not my job. Nor a career I have any interest in succeeding in.
I tend to be artistic from time to time and somehow, I'm good at this - and I'm talented. I'm confident, too.
If you're not confident in what you're doing, why do it?
No, I will not pay you.
No, I don't want to know your rates.
No, I don't want to 'join in your event'
No, I do not want to shoot 'your friend whose nervous about getting started'
No, I will not work with 'MUAs', 'Retouchers' and definitely do not want to 'collab'
If you message me and tell me how much you love my work, then ask if I want to know your rates - I will laugh at you to no end.
If you ask me what kind of equipment I use, I will laugh at you. I have some of the best equipment but really, I could be using a $50 Point and Shoot - as long as the product is great, what does it matter. I'd have to assume you don't know how art works and you're just pretending to be informed.
It's very simple. I'm here to take pictures with talented, confident and level-headed models. I'm not here to kiss your ass, deal with drama or models that are going to whine the entire time about how terrible they look. I won't coddle you, I'll tell you to leave.
If you don't think you look amazing, you shouldn't be modeling. This isn't kindergarten. Everyone doesn't get a trophy. Grow up.
This website is full of mind-boggling exchanges that make me think:
"Why the hell would you take that picture?"
"Why the hell would you let someone take that picture of you?"
"Why the hell would you let THAT photographer take THAT picture of you?"
I've also found that a lot of people on here are very, very dense. I've even been called racist for using the term "________ is the new black." And how you act as a "Professional MUA" or in any facet of fashion without knowing that phrase amazes me. So I hope you understand why I keep low expectations for MM.

I can travel to you in Chicago (as long as you're near a train/bus line.) I'm looking to shoot girls in their own surroundings. Or their friend's surroundings. Or some cool business/building they know of. See also: Not my studio.
Natural light only (because I don't yet have a portable light system, just studio lights. And I'm not carrying those around for free) so it would be in the early afternoon.
I shoot (sometimes) for Zivity, and I am open to working out sets for SG/GG/DD/DN, etc. Also available to shoot content for private/personal sites.
Mostly, I'm looking for models that are looking to do something different. Photography sucks - We can do better with less.
Let's talk. And don't you dare ask me to do fantasy or gore. I want real photos.

At this point, you may think I'm just an incredible jerk. If you think so, that's a great sign that I wouldn't want to work with you anyway. However, if you understand exactly what I'm talking about - we will work together great.
Then there are models that hate me. I don't work with those models. I know for a fact there are a few 'professionals' that have me blocked - mostly because I hurt their feelings on this website by saying something honest to them.
On the other hand, there are a ton of models I've worked with since 2008 that I continue to work with, be friends with or drink with. In fact, I invite you to contact any and every model I have worked with and ask them for yourself. Local or National. I know they will have nothing but positive things to say.
(Oddly enough, I tend to find that it's the good and professional models that I get along so well with...)
