I've been out for a while recovering from a heart attack and triple by pass. I'll be shooting again mid-November. New models in Dallas, Ft. Worth and Waco, let me know if you would like to shoot.
I'm Ron Smith, "The Rawhider". I'm a leather craftsman and a retired Air Force photographer (1964-1989). I started Rawhider Studios in 1962 in Ft. Worth, TX. doing custom leather work for fairs and rodeos. I started photography to promote my craft. All that came to an end in 1964 with the Vietnam War. I joined the Air Force two weeks ahead of my draft notice, and was assigned to Military Police with the additional duty of unit photographer. At the end of the war, I was assigned to combat communications as an electronics tech. and photographer until I retired in 1989. I prefer photography to electronics, so I reopened Rawhider Studios in Hillsboro, TX.(my wife's home town) in 1990. I'm a portrait photographer and photojournalist. I shoot Hot Rod and Motorcycle shows in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for a local car magazine and my web site, www.rawhiderphoto.com
. I'm looking for models to shoot the shows and features for the magazine. Models should be over 18, all races are welcome, and there is no hight requirement (short models, here's your chance). Models interested in a shoot can PM me here or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
My rates are flexible (I know what it's like to be short on cash), I, also, do TFP/TFCD, and I have some paid jobs for models.
Friend Requests: When I send you a friend request it is because you are some one who I would like to work with or who's work I admire. If you send me a request, leave a tag or comment to let me know if we can work together or what you like about my work. I appreciate the requests, I would just like to know what I'm doing right to merit your friendship. Thanks.
Thanks to all of MM for making this a great year with your information, inspiration, friendship, kind words and criticism. Keep it coming. Thanks, Ron.
