My name is Alma! I came to Model Mayhem to make connectiuons and relationships with fellow retouchers, photographers and all you beautiful models. Without y'all where would we be?

I have 8 years of experience retouching images...all which was basically self taught. I didn't go to any special classes in college, i didn't work along side another retoucher to learn what i know. It's simple...if you love what you do you'll succeed in doing your best

My rates are very simple and straight to the point. You gotta start somewhere. Message me for that rate.


A little back story about me:

I grew up In Florida and loved/hated every minute of it. You kjnow one of those small towns its so small and there isn't much to do except go to school, hang out with friends and get a job working fast food? yeah, that was me in my hometown. Everybody i went to school with wanted out of that wasteland sooo bad but then you realize.....once you move away and into another state and things are soo different you start to miss the comfort of being able to walk to the store, missing the comfort of walking 2 miles to your friends house in the dark without anything happening because back home everything is so comfy and down home country.

Enough of that...anyways I'm now 27, I live in North Carolina(thinking of Florida everyday) and i have a beautiful 15 month old daughter, shes my world and I'd do anything for her happiness

I started retouching images as a hobby then i became better and better at it but when i started is when the demand for it was booming! I had no idea I was only 18 and in college for something completely different. So about 6 years ago i show my work to my neighbor who was also a struggling photographer(but beautiful images) and he loved it! Told me "you know, you can actually make money doing this stuff" and my thought was REALLY?!?!? and he introduced me to Model Mayhem for networking and I've been here since. Though I wish I could get the clientele I had hoped for I understand there are so many retouchers on here that have amazing beautiful work as well, I just hope for that one client that always wants me to retouch their images so i can finally make a profit for what i love to do and be able to get my daughter the things that she needs because on a real serious note: We struggle all the time
