Professional scientist/educator re-entering the field of amateur art after a long time away. Currently re-developing my drawing and observational skills, based mostly on the life model. Working in straightforward media such as pencil, charcoal and watercolour. In a few weeks time I might have a drawing I am happy with, but I've been saying for that for months.

I also enjoy photography (urban landscape, found objects, machines and living things), and at some point would like to develop figurative photography, in essentially a contemporary art/documentary genre. In that context I'm interested in coveying humanity, physicality and the experience of being, rather than glamour, appearance or fantasy.
