A designer by profession, film/videographer by training and 3D artist by hobby, I started capturing people as way to further diversify my photography portfolio.
I am in the Seattle Area on Capitol Hill and mostly do TFP/TFCD... Open to shoot all styles of photography but i am more leaning towards building a portfolio of work thats not, in a word, mundane.
Primarily a film based photographer, I am finally branching out to the world of digital mainly due to flexibility and the workflow that the Camera RAW format offers me. I still do shoot shoot film (black & white and cross-processed color).
I am also looking to collaborate with models, MUAs and hair stylists using black and white infrared based film. While infrared has been extensively used in a lot of landscape and still photography, it hasn't really been put in to use in people photography.
I am also mostly a natural light photographer (although I am branching out and using artificial light quite a bit), I use whatever the enviroment gives me. This means I mostly shoot outdoors (although I have a studio of my own), using the environment and, if needed, a reflector. I have to tell you natural light produces great results. I have also shot using only candlelight and want to use it more.
I am also open to collaborative shoots with other local photographers. Its fun when you play with other artists, its a great learning experience. And I am always open to chatting other local photographers about their processes, specially if the process is film based.
When it comes to shape and sizes, the more varierty the better, male and female.
I am currently working on developing a portfolio of vintage black and white glamour/noir imagery (1930/40/50's Hollywood), in the style of George Hurrell and looking to collaborate with models (male and female), makeup artists and hair stylists. If you are interested, please do contact me.
I am also one of the principals in Studio Q Seattle, a for-rental Photography Studio/Event Space/Gallery, in the Pioneer Square district in Seattle. For more information about Studio Q, please email
