I am currently completing an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts (Major Photography) at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec. Throughout my academic studies, I have developed a practise which is centred around making art from research into specific cultural, psychological, and medium-based points of interest. Such investigations include topics of interest such as the gendered body, clothing, the photo studio, and bodybuilding. Aesthetics are very important to the realization of my work, and my immediate interest lies in using visual language often employed by commercial artwork as means to conflate the conceptual and the decorative. As well as an artistic practise, I have experience coordinating student-run organizations, I currently sit on the VAV Gallery’s Board of Directors as Treasurer, and am finishing my year-long position as Administrative Coordinator for Art Matters Festival.

With Model Mayhem, I am looking to connect with fitness models, bodybuilders, and muscular individuals for photography and sculpture. All images posted to my profile are related to an ongoing project concerned with the idealization of the muscular male. I am not interested in criticizing those who take part in bodybuilding. Instead I am looking to make representations of muscular bodies as a means to reflect the aspirational and sculptural qualities inherent to the milieu.
