I've been working with a camera since I discovered the magic you could create in the darkroom when I was in high school a little over 20 years ago. I haven't worked professionally at it for very long, having my love of it postponed for quite some time. I picked the camera back up several years ago, have been building my portfolio and doing some solid work that I am very proud of.
Most of the work that I've sold to some interior designers and private clients has been the merged images that I do, I have been told I have a unique style and I take that as a compliment. I tend to be demanding as a photographer and the models I've worked with have learned to trust my instincts, and they grin when I'm looking over the shots and they hear what they call my 'evil giggle'.
Some of my work has also been on Album covers and inserts for some of Traverse City's local hip-hop artists, and that work is something I am also very proud of. Getting the shots they want is something that has stretched my art and taken me in directions I wouldn't have predicted years ago when I did mostly sporting events and senior pictures.
Right now I'm working out of my home studio and I also do location shoots, I'm concentrating right now on expanding my existing portfolio.
