graphic designer/photographer (15+ years). thinking maybe I'd like to focus on fashion or something thereabouts. have always loved the genre. spent enough time behind a camera shooting stock (1/2 my portfolio), want to set that aside for awhile.

generally drawn to raw, low-fi fashion photography – magazines: Purple, Self Service, Dazed & Confused. influences/heroes: Guy Bourdain, Helmut Newton, , Ellen V. Unwerth, Juergen Teller, Terry Richardson infrequently but sometimes, Miroslav Tichy, William Klein, William Eggleston, Arbus, the 60s, the 70s...

mostly into more natural shoots: ie, not overly made up models, unbelievable scenarios, or thick digital manipulation. flaws and imperfections are awesome. same with the finished image: grain glare flare etc. the focus ring is overrated.

my taste in music/art/fashion/design tends to run more "alternative" (whatever that means anymore) so I'm looking for models with a similar aesthetic and possess a more interesting look, style and attitude. maybe models who listen to Scott Walker instead of Beach House before falling asleep, and who worship at the gap between Brigitte Bardot's front teeth, and who don't ever want to be photographed within 50 miles of a waterfall. maybe holding a sword. ok, no swords.
