Amy is the Owner and Head Trainer of Valor K9 Academy. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Carthage College and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Following her military career, Amy decided to pursue her lifelong passion for dog training. She is a certified "Canine Behavior and Training Specialist" graduate of Starmark Academy and a "Dual Purpose Handler" and "Complete Detection Trainer's Course" graduate of Vohne Liche Kennels. She has studied under world renowned trainers and has worked with hundreds of dogs in various settings. Amy's vast education, hands-on experience and natural talent enable her to effect remarkable training results with all dogs regardless of breed or temperament. Amy maintains high standards of training excellence and has a growing list of satisfied clients nationwide.
Apart from training dogs, Amy enjoys working out, traveling, modeling and spending time with family and friends. She competes in several races each year and completed the Air Force Marathon in 2012. Amy has visited 27 countries around the world and speaks German and Spanish. She is a terrible golfer and enjoys cheap wine paired with fine chocolates. Amy is a proud member of United Schutzhund Clubs of America and lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with her rescue dogs, Duke and Zoey.
