Paul Callaby UK

Hi all, my name is Paul Callaby, I'm based in the UK and I've been a pro photographer since the early 80's. I started off my pro photography life doing weddings and mainstream portraiture but as time passed I moved on to what you see now. Today I suppose you could say that I specialize in Bodyart (tattoo), Fetish and alternative work and am one of the leading Bodyart photographers in the UK.
         I like to bring my own style to shoots that I do and I also believe that any shoot should be enjoyable for both the model and myself, even if it involves awkward and uncomfortable poses and sometimes not ideal climate conditions (we all have to suffer for the sake of art).Over the past few years I've been doing more and more location shoots and less in a studio, this is something that I really enjoy and it brings a whole new dimension to the final result.
        I have been published in just about every international tattoo magazine and have freelanced for Skin Deep since iss 1, I have also been published in numerous other magazines plus several other things like calendars etc and also 4 books. I have also done various catalogue shoots for a wide range of products over the years from clothing and jewellery through to furniture.
         This is how I earn a living so please appreciate that as much as I'd like to I can't work "time for" on everything so if you contact me and ask to work with me I will assume you are looking to pay me unless something different is agreed at the start. I will do some TFCD work if I think it can be mutually benificial, eg..if you've got some great ideas, looks, etc or if you;ve got some brilliant artwork as I'm always looking for people with good artwork/bodybods for various projects. The only way to find out is to ask.

    I do not photoshop all of my photographs, I will  take out blemishes or do selective colour and generally enhance an image but I will not airbrush a whole image....I don't like it....I think it makes people look like wax models rather than human. I shoot, show and promote real people. I think the industry as a whole has gone crazy with the amount of airbrushed images that are being used, I know the fashion industry is the main culprit but we don't all have to follow.
