I'm not really looking to photograph models striking contrived poses for fashion/commercial work, but rather in capturing people candidly, or creating characters cinematically. I place just as much importance on one's style as on their physical features. Although I tend to avoid contemporary styles, this does not necessarily mean that I like a blatant "vintage" look.
I have a propensity for an explosion of colors and the magic hour. I tend to shoot in natural environments and natural light, often making use of shadows. My photographs, thus, lean more toward naturalism than glamour, though I do like the occasional over the top shoot, but it has to be quite elaborate, almost absurd.
I am interested in a wide variety of shoots and settings: indoor, outdoor, simple, elaborate, casual, staged, etc. Two specific ongoing projects that I'm currently working on are fake movie stills, and candid portraits shot in the subject's own living space.
