Relocating to southern CT and the NYC area starting July 1st
I'm a published, professional photographer, filmmaker and painter (and formerly a member of Stuckism
) based in southern CT (mostly) and NYC. I specialize in lomography, pinhole, medium format, fine art iPhoneography, DSLR/digital photography as well as Super-8, 16mm and digital filmmaking. Now I will also be creating work using a Harinezumi.
Interests: authenticity, undefinable small moments, addressing the shadow, improvisation, photogénie (Jean Epstein), sculpting in time (Tarkovsky), impressionism, capturing internal energies and states of being; self confrontation, and the aesthetics associated with Remodernism.
Other specific interests: atmospheric gothic horror esp. vampires (think Jean Rollin or FW Murnau rather than contemporary gothic); impressionistic moody/emotive erotica, doppelgängers; 19th & early 20th century maritime imagery- sailors, shipwrecked ghosts, mermaids; Georges Bataille; Leopold von Sacher-Masoch; Knut Hansun; the inhabitants of Dostoyevsky novels; Rainer Maria Rilke; the accursed poets (Verlaine, Rimbaud, Baudelaire, etc).
GENERAL- All are welcome, but I especially value models that are into improvisation, and are interested in expressing situations, that are interested in exploring moments- whether brief or extended...
NUDES- If we are shooting nudes, I work with women and men with natural bodies- meaning having body hair and not having plastic surgery. Tattoos and piercings are ok, but I'm less interested in sleeves and that kind of thing.

I'm located in western Massachusetts, but am willing to travel anywhere in the world depending on the project and providing that my travel expenses are covered.
Models: I really only do trade or barter at this point, and am not really into standard model/posing/fashion types of things- atmosphere, texture, moods, extreme or intense emotional states and intense images; also horror and erotica are mostly what I'm interested in right now. I am, however willing to shoot those other more regular things if you want me to for pay.
Clients, art collector types, musicians, magazines- I do take on commissioned projects, album covers, music videos etc. Message me about the project and your budget.
Please Don't Contact Me About...
Your rates. When I am working for a client and we need to hire & pay a model, I will reach out. Otherwise if you have the same or similar interests, I am happy to shoot for trade.
