About me
I have many years of experience as a photographer. I like to work with concepts and get a certain specific look.
I am not interested in cliche modelling and photography.
I have shot in several countries and prefer a care-free, casual, spontaneous look, but also make the surrounding or ambiance a big part of my photos. The surroundings complement the model and the look that we want to achieve.
I would like to work with models who would be interested in this type of conceptual photography (read below).

Below is the concept for an on-going, personal, non-commercial, work that I want to do:
********The expressive image as the embodiment of the Arts********
Scope of the shoot:
To create a few images which are extremely expressive, emotional, and powerful. This model’s look once seen must never be forgotten. The model must be able to breathe fire into the character that she is trying to become momentarily. She would need be able to cast a piercing look with the quality of fire-hardened steel. She must portray the look and expression of the woman who has seen it all and survived, and be able to represent primeval woman. She should be able to project the look of steel, and a heart of fire. It is preferable if the model is, indeed, a trail-blazer with a rebel-streak.
Culture:
It would be desirable if the photo-shoot used some expression of culture, literature, or history in a thematic sense as well as clothing (time period costume) and props, and thus the model would be playing a part like an actor, expressing delicate nuances of emotions and expression (consciously or sub-consciously) to complement and supplement the theme and that particular scene. A suggestion is the enactment of a poem, song, or piece of literature, history, or a time-period.
Implications on Art:
This work of art would be challenging the established norms, clichés, and ideals of beauty and expression in the fashion world, and redefining what is art, what is beautiful, and what is fashionable and glamorous. My intent is that each photograph must be an epic, speaking, not just thousands of words, but volumes. The model must be as bold and imaginative as the photographer who is going to render these images.
Usage:
This will be a totality of personal expression for both the photographer and the model, and as such it is a personal work and a form of personal expression, as well a a personal singular signature statement. The audience should be so moved as to say: “Now that’s what we call Art!”
Imagination:
The fire of imagination plays a very important role in a work such as this, for both the model, who in essence will be living the role that she is assuming, and becoming, and the photographer who will be challenged in trying to express, render, and immortalize this epic in 1/125th of a second, just a fleeting instant.
Location:
Can be discussed with the model, preferably outdoors.
Duration of shoot:
Between One to Two hours.
Compensation:
Since this is work of a personal nature for the portfolio of both the photographer and model and other individuals who volunteer, consideration will be in the form of digital images by e-mail or on CD for time volunteered.
