About me
I am a Fetishaman, that is I use fetishes as a vehicle of exploration and expression. Whilst my penchant is rubber, a material most adapt to transforming ones look, stripping down the surface identity to the objectified base and reconstructing a new form, a new personae in accordance to my will or that of another, alien or familiar, this is only a start.
A fetishaman absorbs the environment they find themselves in, the situation that confronts them, the circumstances of the moment, and seeks a relationship, a means to connect to that time and place, irrespective of conventional perception.
A fetishaman wishes only to play with the norm and reveal the magic behind it.
My purpose here is to offer the services of a fetishaman, to those looking for someone not afraid to walk into the light or sink into the depths and, in so doing, continue my own voyage of self-discovery.
I like creativity, imagination and flair in all things beautiful and grotesque. I like unfathomable abstraction in which to swim aswell as to take a walk through the finist of denoted details. Give me dischord and harmony, peace and cacophony, pain and pleasure, all and nothing. Vague I know but a fetishaman cannot help but appreciate everything the universe has to reveal for it might just be able to be bent and turned into something the universe itself might never have thought of without the fetishaman being born.
In reality I am a visual artist; paint, film, photography, fabric, whatever the neccessary means to create the image I want and I have over 20 years experience in the production of and exhibition of such work. It has only been recently that I have wanted to become more of the subject of other peoples visual work.
