A former news photographer, I have turned my interest to fine art black-and- white nude photography and portrait photography. I believe it it always better to leave something to the imagination and thus I focus on the art and sensuality in pictures, leaving the explicitly sexual types to other photographers. My preference is for using natural light, either indoor or outdoor. My goal for every picture is to make a statement and/or capture the essence of the model. I aim to make an intimate emotional connection between the subject and the viewer. To facilitate development of this artistic endeavour I prefer to work with the same model over time. I am especially interested in teaming up with a model who is also an artist or photographer. We could jointly explore, experiment and create images in collaboration to discover what we can create.
     At present my photography is a form of exploration, of myself and of the art of photography. The age or the looks of the model are far less important than her ability to be comfortable in what she is doing, her ability to enjoy herself while modelling,  her having an openess to exploring new experiences, being spontaneous and above all having the ability to connect to the viewer in a way that leaves an emotional impact. Ideal for those artistically inclined models who are exploring what can be possible within themselves and their modelling and who have an appreciation of the art of photography. Sessions are collaborative in nature, with the model being encouraged to bring forth her own ideas and creativity during sessions. New/inexperienced models wanting to learn to improve their craft and portofolio are especially welcome. If you are visiting from out of town accommodation and food could be provided in a home setting in exchange for modelling session.
