About me
My name is Alissa Zandy. I was born on July 28th in the small town of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Which makes me a Leo- independent, driven, generous, and full of energy. I discovered my desire to be in the entertainment industry at a young age, while performing in The Nutcracker as the lead role. It was during that first play I recognized my love for the performing arts and television.
Since then I have participated in other plays as well as various commercials. I attended the Florida State University, and although I put my aspirations on hold, I was able to accomplish one of my greatest achievements to date, a dual bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry. I am intrigued my science and the biochemical pathways of the human body- yet it is not my passion. After graduating in the spring of 2005 I decided to pursue my childhood dream. I enrolled at The Connecticut School of Broadcasting in West Palm Beach, Florida and completed the program this past August. Since graduating I have done various entertainment correspondent work as well as event hosting and commercials. I am completely fascinated with the field and all the various components of production.
In my spare time I enjoy extreme physical activity. My favorite past-time is practicing Krav Maga, which is a mixed martial arts form that combines Jiu-Jitsu and boxing. It is very similar to ultimate fighting. In addition I also love football, baseball, and golf. Go Seminoles, Dolphins, and Yankees! Lastly, I wouldn't be considered a true Italian if I didn't love being in the kitchen. Cooking is my favorite way to unwind.
