An artistic and creative approach to photography is what i aspire to. Something just that little bit different.
I am a full time teacher of art and digital photography, both at A Level. I am passionate about both subjects but love taking and sharing my photography. I have enjoyed success in local exhibitions and had great feedback via numerous photography websites and through proffessional studios in Milton Keynes.
Feedback, both positive and critical are a great addition to comments and I always look for ways to push my work forward. I'll tell you now...i need more arms and full length so this is something i am passionate to push.
MM will hopefully give me more experience of the industry and working with models, make up artists etc. I want to expand on what I know (no training in photography, photoshop etc, all self taught at the moment!) and I am eager to expand on two themes:
The first is high key, something i am very keen to develop through confident models and strong MUA. The idea of a glance, a pose, an expression standing out from a bleached shot excited me. A very strong contrast to my second interest.
The second is projection using more creative poses and angles to push the technique of a models face and torso as a canvas. I am always finding great examples on MM and have enjoyed sharing ideas with others. But, there is still life in it yet!
I use my own classroom at work that i convert to a studio using backdrop paper from a local contact and lighting. It is not professional but it seems to work.
Some retouchers on mm are fantastic but although I enjoy 'editing' my favorite images of any shoot, I am not an experienced retoucher so would only take this to a basic level. All images would be passed on to those who work with me via flashdrive.
