Born and raised in Istanbul, a passion for art and photography along with her love for fashion and beauty led her to New York. She earned her BFA in Studio Art and Art of Design with a minor in Psychology from Franklin and Marshall College in 2010. Her work embodies an other-worldly quality that falls somewhere between fantasy and reality. They are dreamy but yet perfectly realistic enough to tell a story and evoke wonder in people. She draws her ideas from loads of visual references like films, books, stories, magazines, paintings… Her work has been exhibited in All Student Art Shows and Senior Show in the Phillips Museum of Art at F&M College. She’s won the “Best in Show” award for her group of photos in the Student Juried Exhibition in 2010. She’s also had experience working as a set/costume/projection designer in theatre at F&M. Together with her sister Dila, they designed projections and ran the shows for the several school plays, and Opera Lancaster productions of Georgia O’Keeffe: A Woman on Paper and TOSCA. She is currently completing her masters degree in Digital Photography at School of Visual Arts in New York.
