Mayhem # 2518000
I'm mainly interested in modeling for artists (sculptors, painters, pencil artists, photographers and photo manipulators), though I would also consider other modeling opportunities. I am a plant scientist by trade, but draw (botanical and figure drawings) as a hobby and enjoy modeling as a way to exercise my right brain when I don't have time to use my pencils. I consider modeling a collaboration with an artist's vision to create beautiful imagery. I am very conscious of the lines in my poses and strive to make them visually pleasing while always adapting to the aesthetics of the artist. I take direction well, but most of the artists with whom I've worked tell me I don't need much.
From the photographs in my profile, I hope you can see that I am lean muscled with long limbs. I work very hard at staying fit by eating right, weight training and bicycling. I am also a "mature" model and while I'd like to regain the tone of youth, I hope people can see from my images that one can still be pretty at forty-something. My tan line is the result of working outside but I am willing to lose it for the right job.
I have worked with both male and female artists and am obviously comfortable with nudity. I'm not limited to nudes, it's just what I've done lately. I am willing to travel if the expenses are paid. Getting copies of the artwork is my usual compensation, but it depends on the job. Please, if my look works for you, contact me here.

Most of the photographs in my portfolio are taken by my friend Jim Ferringer (MM#1404482). I have modeled for him regularly since June, 2011. During that time we've shot maybe 30,000 frames in his studio, my garden, rivers, culverts, barns, and other places. We've tried all manner of effects including draped fabric, paint, mud, oil, water, milk and anything else we can think to put on a body. If you have some wild idea, Jim would probably love to try it out with you in a shoot. What's most extraordinary about him is his post production work. He's a Photoshop wizard and will put you in places through his edited photographs that delight the imagination. I hope you get a feel for his fine work in my portfolio and on his page here at MM. He also posts new work regularly on his Pinterest page at http://www.pinterest.com/jimferringer/jimm/
I had the pleasure of shooting with Dok Wright (MM#261508) at his studio in Burlington VT in November 2012. Dok's an amazing photographer with lighting that brings out the finer details of the human form. He's very professional and one of the nicest people I've ever met. I highly recommend that any models interested in fitness and fine art photography arrange a shoot with him.
