Next Workshop:
SHOOTING AT NIGHT ON A LOW BUDGET
Sunday, November 8th, 5pm-10pm
Pasadena, CA
$100
I'm hosting a workshop on shooting at night with little to no budget.
We will be using various light sources including flash, car headlights, flashlights, and ambient street lights.
We will be shooting a model on location
At this time in the economy, not every photographer can afford to get the latest greatest equipment. Sometimes we need to turn to more creative ways to accomplish the end product. During the day, natural daylight can be an excellent resource. Unfortunately, at night, things can be slightly more complicated. In an ideal situation, we would all have a set of battery powered strobe lights. In reality, most of us are left to be a little more inventive. For this workshop, we will discuss how to use everyday lighting sources and how to make the most of them. We will also focus on getting proper exposures using manual settings. Students will be encouraged to shoot in full manual mode, so as to have maximum control over shutter speed, aperture, and iso. I will also go over tips on composition of your shots, and talk with students individually on this subject through out the workshop.
