Marla Klein has always had a desire to capture the funny, ironic, and the beautiful. By combining all three of these in her photography, she has created a unique and quirky style that she applies to her daily work.
Marla is a 2012 graduate of the prestigious Hallmark Institute of Photography. During the program, she studied under some of the most well-known photographers in the industry: world-renowned Gregory Heisler, fashion expert David Turner, portrait photographers Richard Barnes and Tony Downer, commercial photographers Dick D’Alessandro and Kemachat Sirichanvimol, and landscape artist Michael Zide.
Currently located in St. Paul, MN, Marla specializes in editorial, advertising, and conceptual photography. She loves telling stories with just a click of the shutter and the sculpting of light. In her free time, Marla enjoys antique shopping, exploring abandoned buildings with mysterious pasts, and curling up in her Snuggie and reading a good book.
“Sometimes I feel like photographers have uncovered a special secret, a crazy, amazing, and beautiful secret: the key to truly living. All I want is to be alive.” –Karrah Kobus
