About me
Brand spankin new!  Be sure to check out my inaugural set in Playboy's Cyber Girl of the Week 11/21/2011 with my very beautiful and very close friend Shantal Monique.  http://cyber.playboy.com/free-nude-phot … 82011.html

I'll offer up two versions of my bio.  If you'd like the formalized "professional" one, please skip to the next paragraph.  If you'd like to get a glimpse of who I am...read on!  If you don't know me, let me first begin with the fact that I'm a red-headed step child (fact), and most importantly an idiot.  I've worn a diaper in public, I have an undying love for mullets, I've seen a plastic surgeon just to see if they could make me a midget, and because I'm a toys r' us kid, I didn't grow up.  I'm loud, crazy, shoot from the hip, and unpredictable.  I am NOT your run of the mill photographer.  Yes, I take pictures, yes I give instruction, blah blah...but I have FUN with it.  I shoot fast, and I never take the same picture twice.  I have adhd, so I never stay in the same spot or shoot the same look/set for hours at a time.  I provide a TON of edited, ready to use content, and in a short period of time too.  If you're looking for the over processed, super fake look, sorry, I'm not your guy.  I don't edit girls to perfection, because that's just not believable.  However, if you're looking for stunning, colorful, yet believable photographs that are smokin hot, and guaranteed to get deleted from facebook, bring it on.  What I can promise from a shoot is non-stop fun and laughter, a large variety of pictures as well as a ton of edited pictures, a creepo/perv/shady free experience, and an overall return that will boost your profile and add about 22% to your coolness rating.  And if you do really well, at the end of the shoot I just may give you a high five.  So give me a shout, let's get rockin!  If you want to see more about me, check my myspace http://www.myspace.com/mattrobinsonphotography or facebook http://www.facebook.com/mattrobinsonphotos .... you will see what I'm talking about!

I started shooting in 1997....so let's write off 1997-2003 as my "i'm still learning ergo I suck years"  However, Since 2004:

I started in photography in 1997 as a senior in high school taking your average photography class.  Long story short, I progressed into fashion photography working with the best talent in the Baltimore/DC/Philly market, including countless numbers of local designers.  I moved to florida in 2003 to bring me closer to the beaches that my clients wanted me to shoot, and here i am.  You have seen my work in Makes and Models, Tapout, Fight Magazine, FHM, Stuff's Little Black Book, Stare Magazine, Leather Bikini, TeaseUm Biikini, Bikini-USA, and numerous other calendar, print, and digital medias world wide.  Feel free to contact me for a list of clients and/or references.

Escorts: If for whatever reason you feel you need to bring an escort to a shoot, that's fine however it's illegal in most states.  If you feel the need to bring someone for personal security reasons here's my thoughts...experienced models, YES, bring them.  It's always great to have a free assistant that won't creep you out.  New models, please discuss with me before assuming you can.  Bringing the wrong person even though you feel it may be the right one can NEGATIVELY impact your ability to work.  I want to make sure you bring someone that will not distract you.

My rates:  Cheap...comparatively.  Depending on dates/availability/usage/etc. you can get a shoot on with me for as low as $100.  Talk to me, tell me what you're looking to do, and I'm certain we can set something up that works for both of us! With that being said...

1.  I will not work in exchange for exposure.  Exposure is best left for creepy guys in dark alleys wearing trench coats.
2.  I will not provide images for free where money is going to be made from them, regardless of the situation.  Even if it's for a prized tear sheet or whatever might make it seem like a dream come true.
3.  If you think by shooting nude that can be considered a form of compensation, think again.  I'm still shooting, I'm still working, I'm still getting paid.
4.  I once contacted a plumber, and told them I had this top end, amazing toilet that was totally custom and no one has ever seen anything like it, however it was clogged.  I asked if they would work on it for free for the experience and for the opportunity to work on something that was top of the line.  They hung up on me.  Bottom line, if plumbers won't do crap for free, neither will I.

Ultimately, if you contact me looking to work with me, you have found some value in my work that can be of benefit to you and your career/product/company/campaign.  Value in my eyes is best equated to dollars.

But alas, there are loopholes!  IF you have an amazing location available for us to use, AND you have a look that is congruent to what I tend to use, then we might have a good ground to run on.  Things that can be ruled out though are anything on a beach.  Been there, done that, bought the tshirt.  Family portraits, bridal stuff, children under 18, pets, porn or nude material that can be used for an anatomical roadmap, casual looks, or any photos where I can not use the images as needed can be tossed out as well.  Those are things I just don't do.  However super sexy fashion, bikinis, lingerie, implied, nude, edgy/artsy stuff, in locations like mansions, clubs, or kick ass little out of the way places that provide a multitude of options are all things that will catch my attention.  If you've got something, throw it my way and we will see what we can't do!

Last but not least....RETOUCHING.  I spend 5 mins or less in editing my photos except on very rare occasion where I had planned on doing so in taking the photo.  I say this for two reasons.
1) I pride myself in being "old school".  I started shooting film, where what you got was what you got.  To this day I still shoot with that mindset and I don't take a photo unless I know it's a decent capture, which increases how many usable photos I get out of a shoot, decreasing my edit time, and increasing your total photos and turn around time.  I actually would prefer to go back to film and deal with working in a darkroom, but in order to stay relevant in the field I work in the most, some retouching is done.
2) I edit all my own photos, and although minimalistic in approach, it is still a part of MY artistic process.  I emphasize that because I have no need, want or desire to outsource any of my editing to anyone, ever, nor do I want any of my images to have a co-tag or have anyone else other than myself, the model, MUA + stylist team, and any applicable company to lay any sort of claim to my photos.  Please do not contact me with your services, offers, or what not.  Yes, we are all out to make a buck, and I appreciate that, however I can assure you that is one avenue that doesn't travel through my world.  So I kindly ask, please offer your services elsewhere.
